  3. I know this might be complicated but I have a desktop and a laptop that I use for production. Would it be possible to have a sync feature for the libraries on both machines ? Provided they both have access to a cloud storage , it would be fantastic if all ratings labels etc would sync between devices .

  4. Imagine a world where samplism could link to ableton the same way Splice Bridge does. And playback samples in key and project bpm.

    now that would be a world i’d live in.

  5. I was wondering if you could remove the extra nested folder for every folder in the Library view? It is a bit frustrating that there is *only* one folder per one folder and *always* one folder per subfolder. There is an entire sub-level that is completely unnecessary and makes it unwieldy to organize libraries.

    In order to have multiple folders under one library, I have to nest it under another physical folder, so there is no actual abstraction happening, its just that you *must* have a folder in a folder *every time*.

    It is the one thing that makes this program not fully perfect and it seems like it wouldn’t be a big change since you could just eliminate the extra folder and it wouldn’t change anything for users except one less click.

    1. Yeah, it would be great if you could remove it please. (Or have an option to remove it) It seems completely unnecessary and is a bit of an annoyance tbh. Hopefully auditioning samples via MIDI (pitched) is coming in V2 also, I know quite a few people who this is a dealbreaker for creatively and as a result have stayed with Audiofinder. (Samplism is massively superior imo but pitched MIDI auditioning is essential). 🙂

  8. Pitched playback via MIDI & having the waveform display not take focus away from the sample list when clicking on it so you can keep using the up and down keys to browse in V2 would make Samplism even more amazing, pleeeeeeeease do it!!!! 🙂

    Keyboard shortcuts for each of the coloured favourite markers would be amazing too, maybe even the ability to name them?

  11. I’m loving Samplism! I’m dreaming of some more modernized workflow improvements.

    Specifically, it would be amazing to have a way to do filter results using custom searches, and save these as Saved Searches. A really good example of what I’m imagining is Discord’s text-based search. If, in the search bar, you could write something like “tag:kick” and “tag:90s” as an AND logic in the same search field, you could narrow down samples super quickly. This could either replace or augment the current “filter” section, and having an area to save these searches and return to them quickly. Would be amazing.

    Also, I love the custom tag area, but adding, changing, and removing tags is currently rather slow. This is primarily because the sample stops playing as soon as you add the tag, which interrupts the workflow. Any way to do a keyboard shortcut + type (autocomplete) tag system, similar to how the tag workflow works in Notion and others, would be amazing. Little improvements like this could make this app much more streamlined.

    But really, this app is head and shoulders better than any other sample manager I can find, and certainly far better than Finder or (god forbid) iTunes. I know many working producers and A&Rs who would benefit greatly using this program. Keep up the amazing work!

  13. hey any updates on the bpm and key detection features? As a dnb producer it would be fantastic if it can auto detect bpm for breaks and then allow us to preview at a faster speed / pitch . Also would it be possible to sync with the daw ? so that loops can play at the same speed as the project file ?

  16. I’d love if Samplism can organise One-shots and loops separately. Another thing that I’m dreaming about is the ability to search similar sounds. Like in Sononym, XO, etc.

  17. I love this app, but why does every directory have to be shown at two hierarchy levels? Its not like you can add more than one folder to a Library, so why make the user click so many times?

    For example, I have an organization “MyOrg”. I want to add a folder called “Loops” to it. In that folder are two more folders. This is what I would expect to be able to do:

    But instead of just having a directory in the “MyOrg” library, I have to create a new sub-library called “Loops”. And in that library there is another folder called “Loops”:
